A LOST UNICORN SIGH, WHERE DID ALL THE MAGIC GO?
found object, wig pieces, crystal beads, hand crafted soft sculpture.

Artist residency at Pilotenkueche, Leipzig, Germany.
One day, I bought a Lissy magazine with a unicorn blind box. I unpacked a purple one with pink hair named Mandy. Then I wanted to create a unicorn trinket tale. I found other crafty materials from the euro store and the street. I also found this dismantled bike seat at a park. The melancholia of these small commodities usually have a designated fate——a brief use for a celebration, satisfying a consumption impulse because of their cute look and cheap price. But these small commodities also very likely be abandoned after a short period of amusement. What is their fate after use? Will they have a new life and be themselves? Does magic spark when small commodities lose their use value?
